Half-day Husky Safari: This journey into the mountain wilderness will leave you spellbound. A round trip of approximately 3 hours combines with a break in a traditional mountain hut where you will be served with hot drinks and snacks. 7-day Husky Safari: This spectacular tour will take you through one of the most beautiful mountain regions of Scandinavia. With eager sledge dogs harnessed, you will voyage through the mountains famous for their many peaks and glaciers. Each afternoon, you will arrive at a different mountain cabin where you will be served with a tasty and welcome hot meal and the evening will be spent absorbing and sharing the fantastic impressions of the past day. The following day, you will reach out for another new adventure. This tour includes an experienced guide, your own dog sleigh of four to six dogs and all required instruction. On our husky safaris, you will be accompanied by an experienced guide throughout and will be provided with special thermal clothing to keep you snug and warm against the cold conditions. These trips are ideally suited for families, couples and single travellers alike.

Fish through the ice for trout at Bøverbotn  on the mountain plateau of Bjorli. Coffee brewed over an open log fire is provided and lunch cooked in a wood-fired stove will be served in a cosy cabin.

Starting at the Snowhotel/Ice-lodge, join us for a safari in search of the magnificent Musk Ox, Ovibos Moschatus, an ancient and rare species of arctic mammal that has retained its prehistoric appearance! These beautiful beasts range in groups of 10 to 20 and our experienced and knowledgeable guides know where the musk oxen wander so we can almost guarantee a sighting. There is also a good chance we will come across the many other animals that dwell in this exquisite mountain habitat. Throughout the trip, your guide will tell you all about the varied flora and fauna which populates the national park. Lunch is provided and will consist of some tasty game, enjoyed in a perfect winter woodland setting.

Duration: 11 hrs

The Bjorli Ski Centre is located just a short distance from the Bjorligard Snow Hotel. The Centre has 6 ski lifts, a children's ski lift and 11 downhill slopes of varying degrees of difficulty with an overall length of 19.6 km. Professional instructors will teach you cross country skiing, slalom, telemark or snowboarding at a level suited to your skills. Ski equipment hire is available.
